Sutton St. Nicholas, Herefordshire
Bed and breakfast Pool House is situated just outside the peaceful rural Herefordshire village of Sutton St. Nicholas, beneath the Iron Age Settlement of Sutton Walls where archaeologists believe King Offa had his palace.
Sutton St Nicholas is unique in having two churches, St. Nicholas and St. Michael, both dating back to the 12th century. There is also the Golden Cross Pub at the crossroads, 3/4 mile distance, about a 20 minute stroll. The nearest shop is 2 miles away in the village of Marden. Although we are in the middle of the countryside, we are conveniently placed for the city of Hereford, which is only 5 miles southwest, and takes about 15 minutes to reach by car.
